In today’s day and age, when most Bollywood actresses are on a mission to look slim, there is one who is proud of her curves and never wants to lose them.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha says that she has always been a curvaceous girl and she would never want to get rid of them.
“My curves are very intact…
“I have always been a curvaceous girl. No matter how hard I try, I cannot lose my curves and I don’t want to lose them at all. It’s something that I am very proud of and it’s just the way I am,” she added.
The actress has not only proved her acting prowess in films like “Dabangg”, “Rowdy Rathore” and “Lootera” but has also impressed many with her style sensibilities, off screen.
So does the tag of a fashion icon bring in certain kind of responsibility for her? “I think, yes, in a way, but for me it’s a very different kind of responsibility. I know that I influence a lot of young girls and growing up girls, and there are a lot of girls who are from different strata of society.
“So for me, I always want my style and fashion to be achievable,” she replied. “It should not be something that is so out of the way that people just actually look at you and say, ‘Wow I wish I could do that.’
“I want you to look like me if you really like my style. That’s my responsibility to have achievable fashion,” the actress added.
“Fashion police does not bother me at all. If I feel good in something I am wearing, I will wear it,” said Sonakshi, who turned showstopper for ace designer Anita Dongre at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2016 here.
Lakme Fashion Week concluded on a transcendent note as Anita Dongre unfolded a whirlpool of emotions weaved by tradition and grace with her Spring Summer 2016 collection – Love Notes.
Sonakshi Sinha was her lively best on the runway heralding the arrival of Indian summer, with the entrancing aura of carmine pink and cyan green foliage. Sonakshi Sinha walked down the runway playing the perfect muse, portraying a young princess full of emotions, passion and grace.
The actress was not only seen giving the perfect pose to the shutterbugs but was also spotted singing and dancing on some of the soulful Hindi tracks while taking that perfect walk.
“You know what they told me to just go and fun and I did that.” Sonakshi told reporters post-show.
