Melbourne, July 24: For the past 45 years, the Show has grown to be the largest Camellia Show in Victoria and is a highlight of the Victorian Winter Horticultural Calendar.
The Camellia is hailed as ‘The Queen of the Winter Flowers’.
THE ICONIC CAMELLIA & GARDEN SHOW is on again on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August.
Visitors to the Show will be able to enjoy hundreds of varieties of Camellias, receive expert advice on growing them and even purchase plants to take home for their own garden.
The Show will feature the Victorian Camellia Championships, Floral Art Winter Championships as well as General Garden Exhibits Championships.
The Waverley Winter Floral Art Championship is recognized in the Floral Art circle as the one with an extremely high standard of displays and as the one to visit.
The Show’s Garden Section gives gardeners from all classes an opportunity to compete in Cut Flowers, Trees & Shrubs, Fruit & Vegetables categories.
The longevity and success of the Camellia & Garden Show is attributable to the combined efforts of two strong Clubs: Camellias Victoria Inc and Waverley Garden Club Inc, both affiliates of the Royal Horticultural Society of Victoria and with over 400 members between them.
Linda Trikarso from the Waverley Garden Club, and Sandra Sexton from Camellias Victoria are Co-Show Managers running this event.
