Melbourne: DutchCare together with FIAV (Federation of Indian Associations Victoria) today announced the approval of Indian specific Aged Care facility.

The ACAR (Aged Care Approvals Round) released today for 2016 has awarded DutchCare 70 bed licenses for a new development in Noble Park, specifically catering for the Indian Elders.

Chair of CIAA and Spokesperson for FIAV Vasan Srinivasan has spoken of the news as a welcome and timely announcement for the Indian community.

“We are very excited by what this collaboration with DutchCare has brought us”, Vasan said.

DutchCare will provide for half of the land required for the Australia’s first Indian aged care facility, catering for 120 residents.

CIAA & FIAV thanked Minister Hon Sussan Ley – Minister for Aged Care, Health & Sports for supporting this initiative.

The vision for this facility was a partnership of DutchCare, CIAA and FIAV in order to create a platform leading to an ethno-specific Aged Care for Indians.
