Mumbai April 7: A police complaint has been registered against a female fan of actor Varun Dhawan after the fan in a fit of rage in front of Varun’s house, threatened to kill his girlfriend and fashion designer Natasha Dalaal.
The girl was upset, so upset after waiting to meet Varun for hours at his residence was told by Varun’s staff that the actor was too tired and exhausted to come out and see her.
The fan turned violent. First she told staff she would harm herself just then and there (in front of Varun Dhawan’s house) but when she realised that was not working, she started yelling that she will “kill Natasha (Dalaal, Varun’s childhood sweetheart)”.
A source quoted in a report in Mid Day, a Mumbai based publication, said: “There was a female fan, who was doing the rounds of his house for a long time. We are used to such things and on most occasions, the fans are sweet and never cross their limits. Varun sir usually obliges their selfie requests, if he is available. But, he is currently pressed for time and is juggling too many things. She was waiting for a couple of hours. Sir came late and she was insisting that she meet him then and there. He was pretty tired from the day’s work and wanted to rest. She refused to leave and got into a squabble. Initially, she said she will hurt herself. When the security still didn’t get her through to Varun sir, she threw a fit. She kept mumbling how she will harm Natasha ma’am… It was alarming for us because usually, fans don’t get so aggressive. We informed Varun sir, who panicked. She kept saying, ‘I will kill Natasha.’ After the woman refused to leave even after 45 minutes, we had to call the local police station.”
According to the report in Mid Day, an official complaint had been lodged at Santa Cruz police station.
The actor has chosen to remain tight lipped and declined to comment.
Varun has never hidden his love for Natasha and has gone on record to confirm that he plans to marry her, but not this year.
“It’s not going to happen this year. I’m not saying I won’t get married but it’s not this soon. If I’m doing all these movies, I need to find the right time for that”, he has been quoted in Filmfare.
Going public with the relationship with Natasha was done last year, when Varun appeared on Koffee with Karan (Johar). When Karan asked Varun about his relationship with Natasha, Varun not only confirmed that they were in a relationship but also said they plan to get married someday.
Recently appearing on Arbaaz Khan’s online chat show Pinch Varun made fun of Katrina Kaif. When asked to name a celebrity who is more interesting on social media than their real life, Varun named Katrina. He said, “She is new on social media and appears to be very fun, having a great time with great pictures, sense of humour. Katrina in real life is all about work. She is a horse with blinkers except when she is hungry and wants to eat something. Then also she eats like a horse.”
Varun is busy promoting his upcoming film Kalank. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the film also stars Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.
