My stories will have intimacy, but not vulgarity
Actress Sunny Leone, who has turned writer with her first book titled “Sweet Dreams”, says she took writing as a challenge and has tried to keep her stories subtle without vulgarity.
“Even though there are intimate moments in the stories, I don’t think they are vulgar in any way. Yes, ‘Sweet Dreams’ has intimacy, but it’s not vulgar. When I read a specific story I don’t want to be uncomfortable or feel this is too much to handle,” Sunny told IANS.
“I am not a writer, so this is something I have tried for the first time. Short stories are difficult to write because you have to develop different characters. It has to get to the point so that was very challenging,” she added.
“Sweet Dreams” is a set of 12 erotic short stories and the first story from the book is called “7E”. The e-book version is available on the app called Juggernaut.
The app is available on the Android platform with iOS to follow a week later. With over 100 titles available for download, the Juggernaut app offers a wide selection of content from some of the best authors.
Asked about her expectations from her maiden book, the “Mastizaade” actress said: “I don’t have any expectations. I just want people to enjoy it. This is for the first time I am attempting a project like this.
“It’s not like a movie, it’s a personal project. If I get a good response, I will continue (to write)… I think if it does well, they might also translate it in Hindi”.
Sunny, a former adult film star, gained recognition in Bollywood with her stint in the celebrity based reality TV show “Bigg Boss 5”. She bagged her debut hindi film “Jism 2” in 2012.
Since then the actress has garnered four million followers on Instagram. She is currently waiting for the release of her next film “One Night Stand”, a thriller, directed by Bhavani Iyer.
