Mumbai, May 20: Now that ‘Sarbjit’ has rolled into the cinemas worldwide, Aishwarya’s Purple Lips has made the headlines again.
The gorgeous actress was then snapped at Cannes with the members of the film – director Omung Kumar, co-actor Richa Chadha and producers Jackky Bhagnani, Bhushan Kumar and Deepshikha Deshmukh.
Aishwarya’s purple lips in a floral outfit while stepping out with her ‘Sarbjit’ team for the ‘From The Land Of The Moon’ premiere has especially caught all the attention.
Usually fashionably ‘safe’, her experiment sporting PURPLE lips was “fun on the Cannes 2016 red carpet”, cooed Aishwarya.
While she received some polarised reactions on her sartorial choice, the lady preened, pouted, smiled and said “I am fine with all the responses sometimes people get it and sometimes they don’t.. sometimes they are like wow and sometimes they are like, really? But that’s okay.”
The L’oreal Ambassador said it is “L’oreal’s prerogative and I am cool about it.
“I am their brand ambassador so obviously, it is my responsibility to deliver what they expect from me and I have gladly done that year after year and you have enjoyed watching me on the red carpet”.
She spoke highly of her L’oreal stylists – Stevans who does my hair and Scarlet who creates “magic” with her make-up.
“It’s all about the fashion and I let my professionals do their job”.
On the constant scrutiny that her outfits attract, Aishwarya joked that one day she would walk on the red carpet in a white shirt and jeans.
She wore a black and gold outfit by Rohit Bal for the press conference of ‘Sarbjit’ at Cannes and later sashayed in a pink-gold Elie Saab gown, a golden Ali Younes Couture gown and red ruffled gown by Naeem Khan at various appearances during her trip.
Aishwarya represented L’Oreal as the brand ambassador and it was her 15th year at Cannes.
