April 12: The BAPS Shri Swamninarayan Mandir – Rosehill held a Walkathon on Sunday morning at the Auburn Botanic Gardens to raise much needed funds for the Westmead Medical Research Foundation.

Labor Opposition Leader Luke Foley and Member of the Legislative Council Daniel Mookhey were excited to join the participants and walk to raise funds for the important cause.

“It was a pleasure attending and seeing hundreds turn out to have a fun morning of walking to raise much needed funds for health research.

“The Australian Indian community does such good work for many worthy causes and this event is a successful example of that.

“Luke Foley and I would like to thank the participants, the organisers, and all those who helped make the Walkathon 2016 a success. We look forward to next year’s Walkathon.

Mr Foley and Mr Mookhey thanked the organisers Darshan Desai and Pradeep Jobanputra and the hundreds of participants who contributed to making it a fantastic morning.
