It was an event to celebrate the launch of Longines DolceVita watch.

Yet limelight was on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – elegant in an off-shoulder white tulle gown in Sydney.

Wearing Australian designer Toni Maticevski at the DolceVita Asia Pacific launch, Aishwarya modelled for the dial on her wrist – yet oomph-ed in a timeless poise with her honeycomb mesh flaring dress, clinched at the waist.

As Aishwarya walked the black carpet at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Friday evening, she echoed elegance.

And true to her work, it was the dial on her wrist that she projected – wearing inconspicuous accessories – ensuring all eyes were on the watch.

It was only bright red lips that added some colour to her otherwise classic look for the evening with a flowing frock.

The 42-year-old Bollywood beauty is the Longines Ambassador of Elegance and she presented the Longines Prize for Elegance at Royal Randwick on the Saturday event to Petra Nolan.

Trackside for The Championships, the Australian Turf Club swelled for the autumn carnival at Rosehill’s Golden Slipper Day.

At the prestigious event, Aishwarya presented Petra with a steel and diamonds Longines Dolcevita timepiece that embodied the brand’s values of elegance, tradition and performance.

‘’We always say elegance is ornate and it fits perfectly for Longines to be part of the equestrian horse racing sporting events,” said Rai Bachchan.

“The horse is such an elegant, powerful, strong and beautiful animal and to witness its power, the elegance at these prestigious events, together with the jockeys, it’s truly keeping with the spirit of Longines’’.

The finalists vying for the Longines Prize for Elegance was selected by Edwina McCann, magazine Editor of Australian Vogue.

Aishwarya also presented the 2016 Longines MinimizeExpandCloseQueen Elizabeth Stakes to the winning jockey, Damien Oliver.

Later, she also visited Australia’s flagship Longines boutique in Sydney.
