Victorian Indians are getting ready for festivities this weekend. Two of the BIGGEST Diwali festivals are being organized this weekend. First – on Saturday, 19 October, Celebrate India’s Diwali @ Fed Square will have the onlookers and participants entertained – non-stop from about midday all the way through to fireworks. The program has all it takes to give families the best possible close to home feel while being thousands of miles away from home – be it workshops to learn how to tie a saree, dance or your food stalls, henna art, clothing, Fashion jewellery and much more… Hop on to a train and head to Flinders Street station – and just join the fun.

Hosted by the AFL, Fed Square Diwali was launched on Monday, 14 October with much fanfare at Marvel stadium. The program is absolutely superb if the two dance presentations were any indication.
