Adelaide, May 18: Cricket Australia on Wednesday revealed prices for special ‘Twilight Tickets’ for the day-night Test at the Gabba, with adult tickets starting from $20, kids tickets from $10, and family tickets from $45.
The ‘Twilight Ticket’, first introduced at the day-night Test in Adelaide last season, gives fans access to the Gabba for the last two sessions of play for days one to four of the first Test against Pakistan from December 15-19, reports Cricket Australia.
Cricket Australia executive general manager operations Mike McKenna said the tickets would allow more fans to enjoy day-night Test cricket.
“The day-night Test format proved to be a hit with fans in Adelaide last year and we are sure fans in Queensland will embrace the innovative concept with similar enthusiasm,” McKenna said.
“The Twilight Ticket offers another level of flexibility for fans to attend the Brisbane Test after work for an affordable price.”
The Twilight Ticket was a hit in Adelaide last year, making up 14 percent of the tickets sold across the three days of the match.
CA has also confirmed tickets for the Adelaide Test will not be on sale on May 31, 2016 as discussions with Cricket South Africa about the prospect of the match being played as a day-night Test are ongoing.
CA remained optimistic that the Adelaide match will be a day-night Test and is working to confirm details for this match in the coming weeks.
