London, Sep 16: Singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham has revealed that she relies on the humble coconut oil to keep her skin smooth.

Instead of using expensive cosmetic products, the 42-year-old says coconut oil is better than anything on the market for moisturising one’s body, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Sharing beauty tips in an interview for a TV show, Beckham shared that it is important to eat a “balanced diet packed with good fats such as avocado, nuts and lots of oily fish”.

“Number one I would say coconut oil.

“So I use coconut oil – the kind of oil that you would cook with – I use it all over my body as well because it’s really, really moisturising, so I would say coconut oil and always taking off your make-up before you go to bed,” she said.

The former Spice Girls star also shared her love for fashion and said that make-up was instilled in her as a child when she used to watch her mother Jackie get ready.

“I’ve been interested in beauty and make-up for as long as I can remember.

“I remember when I was really young and I was going to school and my mum would get out her lipstick from her bag and put a little bit of her lip on my cheek and she’d tell me that I looked a bit peaky and try to liven me up a little bit, if you like.

“I’ve always loved make-up, I’m very, very girly, I used to sit and watch my mum get ready, my mum is very glamorous and I remember sitting on her bed and watching her apply her make-up, get dressed and do her hair…

“I like to make the best of what I have, I’m not a supermodel, clearly, I’m not a make-up artist, I’m a real woman,” Beckham said.

Popular with many other Hollywood celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Emma Stone, Miranda Kerr, Poppy Delevingne and others, it is a beauty multi-tasker.

As a Cleaner for your skin and scalp with its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties is unbeatable. Apply on face or body for an all-natural cleaner and moisturizer – all in one; or use it as a make-up remover for stubborn mascara and eye makeup.

Coconut Oil as Anti-Aging wonder works like a miracle, filled with antioxidants that ward off free radicals and slows the aging process while keeping skin glowing.

Coconut oil will not only strengthen your nails, but also remedy damaged cuticles when applied as cuticle oil.
