Islamabad, July 12: Pakistan’s cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has decided to get married a third time, Geo News reported on Tuesday, but his party said the report was baseless.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman’s to-be wife is reported to be Maryam, sister of Bushra, who is Imran Khan’s spiritual guide.
But PTI spokesman Naeem ul Haq said the news about Imran Khan’s third marriage was baseless.
Imran Khan’s first wife was Pakistani-British journalist Jemima Goldsmith. He has two sons from his first marriage.
He married Reham Khan, 42, a political talk show host, in January last year and divorced her in October — after just nine months of relationship.
Imran Khan himself on Tuesday described as “baseless” reports that he had married for a third time.
“I have not gotten married. When I do I will announce and celebrate publicly,” the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chairman tweeted.
PTI spokesman Naeemul Haque also said: “Rumours about IK (Imran Khan) getting married are totally wrong. He is spending time with his boys in England and will be back in Pakistan on Sunday.”
