London, March 28: Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik will not be joining Grammy Award-winning singer Justin Bieber on his Purpose world tour, but there are reports that he is on the cusp of announcing his own Britain tour.

Malik, who released his debut solo album “Mind of Mine” on Friday, will reportedly announce several dates around Britain where fans can watch him live, reports mirror.co.uk. “Zayn is excited and he will be as hands-on with this as he was with his album,” a source told The Sun newspaper. On Friday, Zayn came to the rescue of one of his fans by picking her up after she was pushed to the ground.

Zayn Malik released his first song “Pillowtalk” from debut solo album “Mind of Mine” earlier this year in Los Angeles.

“’Pillowtalk’ is so pure, so dirty and raw,” Sunday Times Culture magazine had quoted Malik as saying.

Zayn Malik was born on January 12, 1993 as Zain Javadd Malik in Bradford, England to a family of English-Pakistani descent. His father, Yaser Malik, is English-Pakistani and his mother, Patricia (known as Tricia), is English.

Zayn had an early love for singing and performing, and at the age of 17 he competed in the television competition The X Factor.

He was teamed up with four other male contestants to form the group act One Direction, who went on to become one of the most popular boy bands in music history. Malik left the group in March 2015.

Zayn has one older sister, Doniya, and two younger sisters, Waliyha and Safaa. The Malik family belongs to the Muslim faith.
